Machine Learning Product Manager

The Role

Crisp has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to join our team and drive our machine learning software platform expansion in alignment with our plans to continue to deliver Crisis Mitigation services which are best in class for speed and accuracy.

As a Product Manager you will be developing the product roadmap defining the development of machine classifiers to detect toxic, illegal and brand damaging social media content to protect our customers and their brands.

You will specify the training data sets and run initial POC's to quickly identify the biggest returns in terms of automation; you will then prioritise our product roadmap for the next set of social media content (text, image, video) classifiers.

You will have a deep understanding of the different types of machine learning and the benefits of each solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with engineers and data scientists to build end to end machine learning pipelines, including training data preparation, model training, hyperparameter optimization, model serving, versioning, and monitoring
  • Support proof-of-concept teams in building and operationalizing machine learning enabled marketing solutions for the world’s largest consumer brands
  • Own Crisp’s machine learning roadmap and product development from ideation through go-to-market
  • Generalize and iteratively improve the sophistication of Crisp’s machine learning models to solve a variety of personalization and optimization objectives
  • Be a Machine Learning thought leader on the Product Team. Educate colleagues and executives on various Machine Learning approaches through presentations, literature review, user research, market analysis and product results
  • Writing analysis plans for projects, contributing to RFPs, pitching ideas effectively and persuasively to stakeholders
  • Using your excellent communication skills to present and translate meaningful technical concepts to lay-audiences
  • Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, including developing or standing up core capabilities
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
  • Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning
  • Partner on the messaging for the GTM plan, working with all departments to execute including driving awareness & buy-in
  • Overseeing multiple concurrent successful product builds and deliver using diverse capabilities and teams - statistics, software, consulting - and ensure continuous improvements of project or product delivery


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in product management, including managing intelligent solutions and data science teams
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Machine Learning algorithms and techniques in a technical capacity - preferably as a data scientist or a machine learning engineer
  • Strong experience managing ML, advanced or predictive analytics solutions end to end with proven delivery capability including capturing requirements, designing analysis plans, managing junior analysts / programmers / software development teams/ data scientists
  • Understanding of and experience in implementing analytics product strategies
  • Consistent track record for solving critical problems on large scale enterprise products with the ability to navigate technical tradeoffs in application and platform development.
  • Prior experience with agile development methodologies
  • Qualifications a leading product management framework a plus (e.g. Pragmatic, 280Group, SVGP)
  • A degree is not essential, however you must be of degree calibre
  • Experience of a fast-paced, cutting edge technology environment.
