The Role

The Role

Partnering with a variety of stakeholders, the Product Manager will be responsible for the Product throughout its lifecycle. From identifying candidate Products, through design, productionisation, operation and retirement/migration*. The Product Manager will also be responsible for the life cycle of the product ensuring that all parties are following the roadmap and that the features that are released are on time and of high quality. You will work closely with the Executive team as well as the Technical Team(s) and the business analysts.

As a Product Manager you will be developing the product roadmap defining the development to detect toxic, illegal and brand damaging social media content to protect our customers and their brands.

You will prioritise and plan the sprint development activities for your teams, managing the technical backlog and bugs as well as the prioritised features/functionality. You will collaborate with the Account Management, Service Quality, Solution Architecture, Human Intelligence and Service Desk teams to ensure you collate all customer requirements, as well as the internal requirements for the product /service development.

You will be an advocate for our customers, internal and external, and will coordinate the people and process with the technology. You will have previously worked in a SaaS environment where you have partnered with and represented external customers, acting as an advocate for their needs. You’ll also understand UX/UI and will ensure this is factored into the roadmap and development activities.

You will own the delivery of the development activities, ensuring release management activities including documentation and training are delivered, and will monitor and drive adoption to ensure productionising of the development efforts.

Directly Responsible Individual (“DRI”)

  • Managing the roadmap for your product / service offering
  • Delivery of prioritised product enhancements and technical debt / bug fixes

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and trading/prioritising Product features
  • Ensure that all parties have clear understanding of the end goal and are focussed on delivering
  • Has the responsibility of creating a vision so that the development team can clearly visualise the expected outcome by the user
  • Ensures that the product vision is in line with the vision and strategy of Crisp
  • Write customer-based story for what the product needs to do and assign work based on required features
  • Manage the prioritisation of work based on Effort versus Impact.
  • Scope work items / tickets that need to be executed to complete the development work
  • Chart and monitor progress toward product completion for each component and the final product
  • Write customer-based story for what the product needs to do and assign work based on required features
  • Ensure software delivered is of a high quality
  • Use of software in the live production environment
  • Writing analysis plans for projects, contributing to RFPs, pitching ideas effectively and persuasively to stakeholders
  • Sign off all customer-facing software releases
  • Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, including developing or standing up core capabilities
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
  • Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning
  • Partner on the messaging for the GTM plan, working with all departments to execute including driving awareness & buy-in
  • Overseeing multiple concurrent successful product builds and deliver using diverse capabilities and teams - statistics, software, consulting - and ensure continuous improvements of project or product delivery
  • Coordinate work with other software development and infrastructure teams to incorporate product components in the final product.
  • Using your excellent communication skills to present and translate meaningful technical concepts to lay-audience

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Consistent track record for solving critical problems on large scale enterprise products with the ability to navigate technical tradeoffs in application and platform development.
  • Experience of the context/domain we work in (Real Time Risk Detection/Moderation/Security/internet Safety).
  • Proven track record of prioritising and making data-driven decisions on requirements and deliverables in a rapidly changing environment where the best outcome is achieved
  • Extensive experience in product management, ideally in a SAAS environment.
  • Previous experience working within a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
  • Expertise in managing key stakeholders including the development team and wider business
  • Experience of a fast-paced, cutting edge technology environment.
  • Have worked in a start-up/scale-up environment and appreciates the pace and complexity of working within these conditions
  • Degree educated (or equivalent) or of degree calibre
