The Role

We are growing our Solutions team! We are looking for a talented Solution Architect to add to the strength of our business.

Its an extremely exciting time to join us here at Crisp & although we are currently working from home full time, our company is very much continuing to thrive.

In response to COVID -19, these roles will be WFH full time until June 2021, perhaps longer. Applicants therefore must be in a position to work from their home and have a secure workstation appropriate for home working for an extended period.

In 2021, your flexibility to work in our Leeds office will be key, as we will be gradually returning to our offices.

Please note that, although our Solution Architect will be working within our standard business hours (9am - 5.30pm), you may be required to support our on call solution from time to time.

In your role as a Solution Architect, you will play a leading role in all aspects of a Crisp Solution; from initial conception, through to upgrades and Solution retirement.

A Crisp Solution includes everything needed to deliver the customer benefit, including Technology, Processes, Data, People etc. You’ll also define and act as an (internal) customer for new Capabilities as well as helping Crip define and take new Propositions to market.

We work with internal and external stakeholders from across the business, including but not limited to the sales team, client partners, consultants, capability delivery (i.e. development) and the solutions implementation & onboarding team to create the Crisp service for customers to tight deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.

You’ll be a senior member of the Solutions Team which has accountability for the design, build/configure and performance of Crisp’s service to customers.

What you will do in your new role:

  • Lead the interpretation of customer requirements, business requirements, constraints and policies into an appropriate solution designs for our biggest and most important customer solutions.
  • Work with both ‘standard’ and ‘bespoke’ solution blueprints depending on the context for new and existing customers as a part of new implementations and regular customer Health Checks.
  • Help to optimise Solutions
  • Help to optimise the way we design, deliver, operate and retire Solutions
  • Deliver configured services for new and existing customers to agreed timescales.
  • Direct and oversee end to end testing and commissioning of each Solution
  • Take responsibility for Solution operation through-life, monitoring changes to performance, cost or speed of the Solution, and leading resolutions.
  • Develop ideas and systems to automate the daily tasks and workflows used by the team.
  • Monitor and resolve issues with the support of the Client Partners.
  • Review and suggest improvements to solutions.
  • Designing department processes, systems and workflows.
  • Engage with customers to build relationships.
  • Follow and adhere to Quality Assurance processes, reviewing and developing improvements where possible.
  • Be a hub of expertise and wisdom
  • Constantly seek excellence from within and outside the business

Essential Experience

  • Experience of designing high quality (technology based) Solutions incorporating all aspects required to deliver the Solution (technology, data, people/skills, policies etc).
  • Extensive Technical Leadership and Management experience
  • Broad and deep experience in a wide range of modern and historical technical architectures technology patterns and Enterprise Architecture.
  • Ability to engage with clients and build relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Experience of documenting designs & procedures for external as well as internal use in both formal notations (UML, TOGAF etc) and layman’s presentations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desirable Experience

  • A technical, substantial academic qualification (e.g. 2:1 in a technical / computer science degree or equivalent technical experience / Relevant industry experience)
  • Experience in learning and using bespoke software
  • Ability to engage with clients and build relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Experience of automating processes
  • Experience of project management
  • Experience of documenting designs & procedures for external as well as internal use in both formal notations and layman’s presentations
