Crisp expands internationally, establishes North American headquarters in Chicago
The Social Media Safety firm will leverage Chicago's central location and top talent pool to better serve its U.S. customers and grow its client roster
On the heels of a $25 million funding round, U.K.- headquartered Crisp, the leading provider of Social Media Safety for global brands, has established Chicago as its North American base. This global expansion will allow Crisp to further strengthen the growth and support for its impressive roster of Fortune 500 companies.
Crisp has achieved significant growth over the last several years as brands are recognizing the need to be the first to know and first to act on harmful social content to build trust with consumers. Following 87% year-over-year growth in 2018 and a major funding round by Baird Capital, Crisp is well positioned to rapidly expand the $3.5 trillion in customer market cap it protects today. Crisp plans to double its headcount in the next year, with significant hiring in the U.S. In the coming weeks, the firm will also be adding to its leadership team with top advertising and marketing technology talent to spearhead commercial team growth in Chicago.
“Chicago’s central location, proximity to the Fortune 500 and top tech talent pool made it the obvious choice for Crisp’s North American headquarters,” said Adam Hildreth, CEO and founder of Crisp. “We want to be the very best partner to our customers, which is why we are eager to capitalize on the incredible resources Chicago provides growing tech companies and the businesses they work with.”
Chicago has built a reputation as a hotbed for tech innovation, and over the last 10 years has attracted some of the top technology in the country. In March 2018, KPMG named Chicago the second most innovative city nationwide, making it the perfect place to establish roots for this fast-growing company.
“Over the last 14 years, Crisp’s mission has been to make social media safe,” said Hildreth. “A strong social presence has become equivalent to air for brands in today’s society. And while we can’t live without it - major global brands need a trusted way to ensure they are protected. This need is only increasing in the future, which is why our team will continue to expand in the U.S. - providing the world’s largest brands a critical service so they can focus on their growth and business goals.”
